Made Goods, an exclusive luxury home furniture and decor brand, caters only to trade professionals like retailers and designers, without a public storefront. Their presence is marked by showrooms in major cities and participation in tradeshows, complemented by annual seasonal catalogs distributed to clients and showrooms.

Some Background

The pandemic's closure of businesses further restricted our already limited consumer exposure, preventing clients from physically accessing our products. Our offerings, varying in dimensions, are best appreciated in person, either through showroom visits or at trade shows where the quality and scale of our workmanship truly shine. We needed to find a way to bridge that gap.

The Problem

Understanding the User

The Established Interior Designer

  • Interests: Keen on staying ahead in design trends, creating personalized and high-end spaces for clients, and attending industry events.

A significant pain point for interior designers during a pandemic shutdown is the limitation on in-person interactions. This restriction hampers their ability to meet with clients, visit sites, and physically assess spaces. It also affects the tactile aspect of their work, like evaluating materials and finishes, which is crucial in their field. Adapting to these constraints often requires a shift to digital communication and virtual tools, which can be challenging and may not fully replicate the experience and effectiveness of face-to-face engagements and on-site evaluations.
